Our Weekend in a Nutshell: Pampering & a Whole Lot of Nothing

If there is one thing I COMPLETELY neglect since becoming a's my nails. My hair doesn't get all the attention it needs either but I at least make it to my stylist enough to keep from looking like total trash.

But the nails...those can wait. Or at least that's what I always tell myself. I always find something else to do when I get a free hour to go get them done. But not this weekend!! I FINALLY made an appointment for a mani/pedi and kept it. And my mama came too, which made it extra fun because we NEVER get time alone to hang out. She also arrived with two large iced coffees which was just the icing on the cake. You rock mama!

So here is a glimpse of my Friday...

And this is a glimpse of what the rest of the weekend looked like...

I called this a recovery weekend for the kids and I. Poor Eric had to work ALL WEEKEND and the kids and I were just pooped from the heat last week and all the running around we've been doing. I had lots of catching up to do around the house and the kids just needed to chill!! So we watched a lot of Harry Potter, built a few forts and did lots of snuggling. I may have also thrown an 11 mile run in there...but that was it :-)

So there you have it friends. Not one of my more exciting Weekends in a Nutshell...but it was EXACTLY what we needed. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend too!!

  1. It sounds like you had a great weekend! We were lazy, too!

  2. We call those pajama weekends but they are all about the recovery time. Looks like it was just what you all needed...including a very sleepy Blake! Glad you had a great weekend!

  3. This sounds like my weekend minus the 11 mile run! Go you!! I did a 2 mile run. HA! Also I spent a good deal of tmie staring at the camera bag on your etsy site. I showed it to Luke and he said that I should as for it for Christmas.....not what I was hoping for. I promise it will be mine one day though!! I hope you have an awesome week!!

  4. So glad you got to chill and have some pampering! My nails get neglected too. I got a pedicure like once a month when I pregnant with my it's a miracle if I get one a year.
